Picture
This genuine GWR plan of Pontrilas station and it’s environs was drawn to show a set of proposed alterations to the track layout, and on close inspection, it actually shows dotted lines indicating possible new configurations. It was unearthed by Kevin in the Public Records office at Kew, and was part of the wealth of information passed on to Mike Morris, who eventually came up with the layout concept, and went on to adapt the drawing’s revisions, and re-draft the necessary re- alignments and areas of gentle foreshortening to come up with Bucks Hill’s similar arrangement.
